Modern Slavery Act Statement

Modern Slavery Act 2015 - Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement UK modern slavery act compliance and anti-slavery statement central registry

ZyroFisher is a trading name of Zyro Limited. This statement sets out ZyroFisher's actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains.

ZyroFisher is absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

Organisational structure and supply chains

ZyroFisher is the leading distributor of Parts, Accessories and Clothing to the UK and Irish cycling markets. We represent over 50 world-class brands which originate from many parts of the world including North America, Europe and Japan.

The majority of our business activities are acting as the UK and Irish distribution partner for third party brands. Those third party brands manage the global supply chain for the sourcing of raw materials and manufacture of the products. The relationship between third party brands and ZyroFisher is defined under distribution contracts.

We also design and source a number of owned brands for which products are designed in the UK and manufactured by leading third party international manufacturers which supply a number of brands in the cycle industry.

Policies on slavery and human trafficking

ZyroFisher has a policy of trading ethically. We will only work with well established brands and manufacturers who also have a commitment to trading ethically.

To ensure that our policies and standards are communicated and complied with throughout the supply chain we are in the process of implementing revised trading agreements incorporating the requirement for suppliers to confirm their compliance with our policy on modern slavery and human trafficking.

Due diligence

ZyroFisher undertakes due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly reviews its existing suppliers. For third party manufacturers of owned brands, we undertake steps which include inspections of the factories operated by those manufacturers.

Risk in the supply chain

ZyroFisher considers that the risk of modern slavery is greatest in our supply chain. To mitigate this risk we are implementing revised trading agreements and regularly inspect the factories manufacturing products for our owned brands.

Measuring effectiveness

In order to monitor the effectiveness of the steps we have taken we will record and measure the implementation and acceptance of revised trading agreements incorporating the requirement for suppliers to confirm their compliance with our policy on modern slavery and human trafficking. We will also record any issues raised during our factory inspections and monitor the remedy of such issues.

Staff training

ZyroFisher employees receive a comprehensive induction which includes the communication of our Ethics policy which all employees are required to comply with. We also ensure our senior employees involved in our supply chain have significant experience of international trade, providing training and support to our teams.

We will review this statement at least annually, and communicate it to all staff. We will also review it following any changes in legislation.
